God gives Promotions

Sometimes as believers I think that we forget who we are and how much God really wants to bless us, and I think that sometimes we forget that in Christ there is no lack. Do you realize that the company that you work for belongs to Him, the house that you live in belongs to Him, and the children that you have actually belongs to Him?

God expects for us to be good stewards, and to be responsible with whatever He places in our hands; that is, what God places in our hands, we need to turn right around, and place it back into His hands.

Growing up, I often heard the phrase "if you do your best then God will do the rest. Yes, what ever God requires of us, we should give it our best. If you are a doctor then be your best, if you are a cook then be your best, if you are a mother then be your best, and the only way we can be our best, is to put it back into His hands.

When we do our best, we show what it means to represent God's kingdom. Our name is now rooted in His name. Psalms 23:3 reads "He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name sake" because we are His representatives.

Proverbs 22:1 --- "A good name is more desirable than silver and gold". Often times we find ourselves chasing stuff instead of focusing on our good name.

"Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there". --- John Wooden

We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but also rejoice in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance character, and character, hope. Romans 5:2-4

My mother told me once, "Kirby, one thing that I found out, and that is, hard work won't kill you". I thought to myself I'm not so sure about that statement, but as I was studying my Bible, I saw it for myself in Proverbs 14:23 "All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty".

In the book of Ruth, there was a woman by the name of Naomi, she had left her country with her husband and sons because of a famine in their land, Bethlehem. In the new land, a place called Moab, her sons found wives, but her husband and sons all died, so she decided to go back home to her kindred. One of her daughter - in- laws, Ruth, wanted to go back with her because she had fell in love with the God that Naomi served, the one, true, and living God, so Naomi agreed to take her back with her. When they got back to Bethlehem, Ruth decided to work in the fields and pick up what ever was left over, to support her and Naomi. Because of Ruth's hard work and her love for her mother - in -law and her God, she was taken notice by one of Naomi's kindred, a man by the name of Boaz who took Ruth to be his wife. He was the owner of the field.

We need to practice, that whatever we do, do it unto the Lord, and we need to be intentional about it.

It is God's desire to bless His children, and not see them suffer. God's word says "we suffer because of the lack of knowledge because we do not know Him" Hosea 4:6, for in Him there is no lack.

"Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming." --- John Wooden

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us". Ephesians 3:20

In the song "Up Where We Belong" by BeBe and CeCe Winans, -- "The road is long, there are mountains in our way, but we climb a step every day. Lord lift us up where we belong where the eagles cry on a mountain high".

Make it your business to know the Lord as your Savior, that He may lift you up where you belong. You will soar on wings as eagles.
