He's The Master of it All!!

Updated: Jan 1, 2021

Have you ever been overwhelmed with fear? when I learned about the coronavirus, and how it had taken the lives of many, and that anyone could have the virus and not even know it. I was afraid . The virus was spreading uncontrollably, and the only thing left to do is move out of the way quickly.

Fear was trying to over take my Spirit. it seemed like everything around me was changing fast. Businesses began to shut down; The grocery stores could not keep toilet paper, napkins, hand sanitizers , and bleach to name a few.

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of Power, and of Love and of a Sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

In the book of Luke chapter 8, Jesus and His disciples was traveling across the waters by boat. While Jesus was at the bottom of the boat asleep, a storm occurred. The disciples were afraid because the storm grew so big and uncontrollable. they thought that they were about to perish.

As I was watching the news and listening to the First Responders described their experience dealing with this virus in New York, then I realized how big this virus really is, and how out of controlled it can spread. Its just devastating!

Even though life circumstances may catch us off guard, we can rest assure that Jesus knows, and Jesus cares. The disciples cried out to Jesus, and said Master! Master! we are going to drown.

Anytime that we cry out to the Lord with a sincere heart, Jesus is coming to see about us. Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters.

Jesus was spending time with His disciples to teach them to trust in Him as their Lord, The devil may cause a storm, but Jesus has the authority and power to calm the storm. God allowed the storm to appear only that He may get more glory. The disciples thought that the storm had the power, but when Jesus spoke to the storm it had to obey Him then the disciples realized that Jesus have power over the storm. He told the storm Peace be still, and immediately the storm had to ceased.

During this epidemic, Jesus only want to teach us to trust in Him, and to know that He has the power to allow a storm to occur, and He has the power to make it cease. Jesus wants us to look to Him as our Savior. To run to Him for help with a sincere heart. He wants a genuine relationship with His children.

After studying this passage of scripture, all of my fears were calmed. I know that what ever occurs, no matter how great or small, He is the Master of it all. He paid the price on Calvary.

1 Peter 2:24 reads He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed.

Isaiah 57 14: lets us know that He is going to revive the spirit of the lowly, and the contrite heart. He is not going to allow His children to suffer long. He is going to restore comfort to his children. The trials that His children are going through will create a praise on their lips.

God inhabits the praise of His people, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

The song writer says; No Matter how great or small, He's the Master of it all. I put it all in His hands.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
